"I first heard the song "Suddenly" featured on the Real World Vegas episode and out of all the songs featured on that same episode I was floored. What a beautifully arranged song. "As everyone knows I've been around the music business for a long time and I've heard it all. Carlos and the Chiwawah’s are pure unadulterated explosive talent. These guys aren't the typical pussy rockers you see around town all the time. These guys can really play. When these guys perform, I'm there."
-Neal Baddin/Mr Outpost/ Mr Hollywood
"Angry Chiwawah is hard, heavy, and melodic, driving high energy alternative rock n roll. It's musically complex, catchy, and most of all, current. Carlos Villalobos pours his heart out on this disk. With it's latin influences, "Unleashed" needs to be recognized as a musical breakthrough. Angry Chiwawah deserves national recognition and billing on one of the large summer tours of 2007!!!
-Cutter (Music Fanatic)
"I haven't heard a whole lot of great music being released recently, but after hearing "Unleashed," I'd have to say Angry Chiwawah changed my mind. The music is awesome, the band loaded with talent, and the song writing is fresh. On a trip to LA, I caught the band at the Knitting Factory and what a show? What a great evening and got a chance to meet the band. Definitely a group of musicians on the rise. If you don't have the CD, get it now and start enjoying some kickass tunes. Can't wait for the next CD release."
-Chris Schuyler, San Diego, CA
"Unleashed is a great album. The songs feature powerful choruses, tasty instrumentations and a balanced range of sounds. It's all I need to enjoy a record. Watch out for the hidden tracks! I saw these guys live too and it was a pleasure to see them mastering both plugged and unplugged shows.

"...you now have three more outrageous fans! When I picked up my girls this past Thursday, I brought your CD with me, for them to listen to and they just loved it! ... I gave them the website so they could give it to their friends. Their next questions were, "When is he going on tour?" "Can we go?". I told them when you come to our area they can go! Then they asked if they could get back stage! They are too funny!!!"

LOS ANGELES, June 1, 2001
Rhodium Records signs Angry Chiwawah (Alistar Records), - a rock band with heavy guitars, eerie synth textures, and Latin rhythms and drum loops. Inventive nylon guitar textures with vocal hooks and melodies abound. It's solid rock, falling somewhere between Linkin Park's commercialism and the arcane inventiveness of Filter or Nine Inch Nails.
The band is lead by multi-talented Carlos Villalobos, who in 1998 signed with Virgin Records/Higher Octave for his instrumental project, Esperanza. Villalobos, who is also producing the debut Angry Chiwawah album, has done production work and studio session work for over 50 artists and many significant labels, including A&M, Atlantic, EMI, Warner Chappell/Trinity Music, Polygram, Jive, Hollywood Records, Alistar Records, Virgin, and Sony. His work has been heard on HBO’s Sex and the City, and he was the writer, producer, and performed all of the original music for Baywatch Hawaii.
